In many women a typical beauty problem are dark circles under eyes. These dark circles wreak havoc to the self-assurance of the woman so it makes her look constantly tired or sick or worse look like well, a raccoon. What and exactly why do dark circles appear under the eyes?

The pores and skin all around the eye sticks out as the thinnest most delicate portion on the face and in fact of the body simply because the oil glands in this area are an issue. When it area will get dry, the veins become prominent giving the eye a dark coloring

There are to put it succinctly many reasons why such a thing happens, the next section discusses those.

  • Heredity: It runs in the blood which suggests when your parents are vulnerable to this. Also if you’re prone to skin allergies then it could be the cause of those dark circles. Rubbing down the eye area and inflammation of the skin around the eye makes it look dark.
  •

  • Not Enough Sleep: Late night partying, lesser amounts of sleep, fatigue, stress, infected sinuses and pregnancy makes the skin pale. Veins are more prominent when skin is pale which make you have circles under eyes look.

  • Facial Bone Structure: Your facial bone structure can work not in your favor when you have deep set eyes as this casts shadows to the underside of your eyes giving the impression that you have raccoon eyes.
  •

  • Too Much Sun Exposure: If you are too exposed to the sunlight, the pigmentation of your skin increases causing the skin to tan. When this happens to the area under the eyes, the exposed skin darkens.
  •

  • Medications:
Some medicines cause the blood vessels to expand. In the area around the eyes, this appears as under eyes circles because of the thinness of the skin in this area.
  •

  • Poor Nutrition:
Discoloration under the eyes may also indicate poor nutrition. So check whatever it is that you’ve been eating and change your eating habits for the better.
  •

  • Age: As we grow old the skin all across the eyes become dry and will wrinkle. This is caused by loss of fat and collagen around the eye area. This even more causes the blood vessels around the eyes to appear as dark eye circles.
  •

  • Lifestyle: Smoking, excessive alcohol and caffeine consumption also contributes to having dark circles under eyes.
